More about me

I am born and raised in New Mexico. I married my high school sweetheart Travis, we have two daughters Hera and Athena, and one dog Orbit! I love being active, my favorite things to do are boat rides, jet skis, side by sides, bike rides, swimming, and my favorite way to vacation is on cruises! You can find me at the gym, at my daughter's sports practices and games with my husband, photographing something somewhere, editing at a coffeeshop, and walking my dog in my neighborhood.

My Photography Story

I first started having fun with photography when I was gifted a camera for Christmas at 10 years old. It was a digital camera I used for years. My cousins and I would make short films and edit photos of ourselves doing funny stuff- dying laughing at ourselves! This was before all social media BTW. In High School I took film photography all 4 years and really enjoyed it- exposing images in the darkroom, not being able to see your photos right away, and the let down when you didn't get your exposure right. 3 years in a row I won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place for Photography at my High School Talent Show, and my senior year only winning 2nd and 3rd place which I was really upset with myself about at the time. Not the Champion Title your used to hearing about (hehe) but I still had a lot of fun getting better! I loved painting and would place in paintings as well. I had dreams to go to college for Business and Photography wishing to work for myself in some capacity but chose to pursue Nutrition instead, Human Health and Nutritional Sciences being another interest of mine! I bought my first professional camera when my daughter was born so I can take photos of her and my family! Having a nice camera made me the go-to photographer for my family and friends from that point on. I am so happy to finally introduce Hillary Christina Photography established 2024.
